Viking FM’s Cash for Kids’ Mission Christmas appeal is in full swing…

Viking FM’s Cash for Kids’ Mission Christmas appeal is in full swing with applications for over 10,000 local children at risk of waking up to nothing on Christmas Day.

1 in 3 children across the UK live in poverty and, for some families, Christmas is a luxury they just cannot afford. For some, it’s a choice between putting food on the table, heating the house or putting a gift under the tree. Every child deserves a visit from Santa and the appeal is here to give Santa that helping hand, helping to put a smile on faces across this magical time.

Cash for Kids works with local grass-root organisations who support disadvantaged children (0 – 18 years). Throughout the Mission Christmas campaign, these organisations along with social workers, head teachers and the emergency services nominate families in crisis to be supported by the appeal.

Last year Cash for Kids were able to help 9,799 local children wake up to a gift, and with applications already exceeding last years, support is needed more than ever. If you want to help by donating a gift to one of our local drop off points, including all B&M Stores, or make a cash donation so Cash for Kids can buy a gift on your behalf, visit www.vikingfm.co.uk/mission for more information.
